El Maguey Y La Tuna - New York

I have celebrated many birthdays and special occasions at El Maguey with Maria and her amazing team. The food is outstanding—authentic and reasonably priced. As a long-time patron and friend of El Maguey, it’s truly refreshing to have a neighborhood spot that understands the community and treats you like family. The newer establishments simply can’t match their level of service or quality. My hope is that we can protect this special place for as long as possible and shield them from the outrageous rent increases that are not only threatening small family-owned businesses in New York but are also eroding the city’s culture. Much love to Maria and the El Maguey family!

Finally found an amazing authentic Mexican food place in NYC! Friendly staff and service! I had the mole enchiladas, reminded me of my moms.

The food here is fresh and delicious—I'm truly impressed! The service is exceptional and very accommodating. During my first visit, the owner unexpectedly asked if the temperature in the room was comfortable, which is a level of consideration I've rarely experienced in New York City restaurants. The dishes are seasoned just right, and the staff at El Maguey Y La Tuna are absolutely wonderful. I really adore this place!

Our go-to spot in New York. It's a wonderful place to stop by for a few final drinks and relax. The food is also fantastic.
