My new favorite Italian restaurant in NYC, and that?s saying a lot! Fiaschetteria Pistoia surprises you from the moment you walk in with its warm ambiance blending industrial and Tuscan influences. We picked a wine from the cute basket and started with the heavenly pappa col pomodoro (a thick Tuscan bread and tomato soup), perfect for a winter night. The pici cacio e pepe was perfectly al dente, but the highlight of the evening was the maccheroni sull?anatra which mighthave become my favorite pasta ever with its perfect mix of flavors. I can?t wait to go back! We walked in early (6pm) but reservations are recommended.
We had a great dinner! The truffle pasta was super delicious and pretty reasonably priced for truffle. The servers were good but they definitely rushed us through dinner. We were asked to order about 5 times in 10 minutes. The wine was very good but not a huge selection. Ambiance is very good. Don?t be afraid to venture towards ave c!
We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant with delicious, homemade pasta dishes recommended by our waiter, along with a great selection of wines. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting. I made a reservation for our party of 7 on a Saturday evening, calling 5 days in advance.
