Average service/management and food. Easy dining for large family/groups/kids. You can make a mess and it’s fine. Servers don’t mind nor do they clean up between entrees. Fine to dine if you don’t have high expectations and want little hibachi flame entertainment. I made a birthday dinner reservation for 16 people and brought our own birthday cake. Was assured at reservation over the phone servers can slice and serve the cake. When I watched the server poorly cut/butcher, using a “spoon” and knife, to serve the first three shabby broken down slices from a beautiful Magnolia Bakery cake I had to step in and explain how to slice and serve more “thoughtfully” to the birthday girl and guests. I asked if they had a cake server and they said they did not have one. The two servers walked away after I showed them how to cut/serve and after they brought regular metal spoons which I had also asked to replace the flimsy small white plastic teaspoons for desert. Note: they also forgot and did not serve ice cream which was supposed to be part of the meal. When I mentioned how awfully the cake was being served and how servers all walked away and didn’t assist, the manager lady/hostess was defensive, unapologetic and rude. Instead her response was, we are not responsible for slicing cakes.” I asked if that is the case why did you tell me over the phone you did? She’ just said it’s “something we offer.” — very bad customer service! Training and management at this restaurant has low/average standards. On top of disappointing birthday dining experience, they also automatically charged 20% gratuity.
Nice place and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic date night. Good service too.Food: 5/5
We came here because they have the Japanese Hibachi grill. We sat at a regular table, not the grill. Rather dark and brown, not really inviting. We ordered one Hibachi chicken and one Hibachi filet mignon, both came with an appetizer, white or brown rice and vegetables. The saald as appetizer was nice, but seemed to come from the fridge, very cold. The other appetizer, 2 Hibachi shrimps, arrived on the same plate as the entree. Espevcially the fiket mignon was excellent, the chicken rather dry. The sauces were far from Japanese and very sweet. Since we were within happy hour they had a small choice of happy hour beer and wine. Both drinks were okay. Total bill including tax and tip 100$, rather expensive regarding the quality. Friendly service. Clean toilet.
Booked for my treen daughters birthday dinner. You definitely need to book as this place was busy on a Sunday night. This is a Hibachi (Teppanyaki restaurant but they also have a good shush sashimi list. The usual shenanigans that happen with Hibachi apply here, the chefs are funny and entertaining and the food is prepped at the table in front of you (you will smell of cooked food after! The food was excellent and the staff were all very helpful in navigating the menu choices. The restaurant is close to subway stations. They also do a special birthday indoor firework sparkler.
