I got the pork and Chinese cabbage dumpling and shrimp, pork, and chive dumpling. Was soo hungry but still didn’t like their dumplings. Overpriced and not that great. Skin was too thick, not so flavourful and overcooked. Also, only the shrimp, pork, and chive dumpling were hot. Wouldn’t recommend. Go to Flushing for dumplings instead!
Don’t usually write negative reviews, but I was compelled to do so. Live closeby and always wanted to try this spot out, as I pass by everyday during my commute. I got the Steamed Beef with Radish dumplings and they were probably the WORST dumplings I’ve ever had (even compared to frozen dumplings). As most folks have mentioned the skin was too thick, it was overpriced and the meat itself was very gamey (felt over cooked). Would never go back and do not recommend.
Absolutely love Lisa’s dumplings! Their dumpling shape is super traditional (money ingot shape and great fillings. While each of their dumplings is larger than what you’d typically get (maybe 2 dumplings in one? Lisa’s is expensive. I love their dumplings but simply don’t come as often as I could with the prices. Regardless, really worth a quick grab to eat and still highly recommend. I get their frozen bag and take them home and cook myself.
This is far and away one of my favorite places to eat in the city, and one of the best food stands in Turnstyle. My parents used to make dumplings from scratch when I was growing up, and Lisa's really hits the spot for me when I miss a childhood favorite. They have so many options, and they all come to you fresh, hot, and delicious. Service is friendly and they work fast! Definitely worth a try, especially if you're seeking an authentic dumpling experience and one that is quite affordable as well!
