Our family of six dined here on a Sunday afternoon. It was nice to find a restaurant that could easily accommodate our party without feeling like we were sitting on top of each other. Everyone in our party enjoyed our meal. My husband and I took the waiter's recommendation and tried the Petti di Pollo Serrentino and the Polllo alla Valdostana both were tasty and the portions were large. The kids order fettucine alfredo, ravioli, spaghetti alla carbonara and farfalle
We had a large group of 18 and the host was super attentive and accommodating. Prices were great and the margarita pizza was excellent. Dessert was phenomenal.
I know Luna is no longer open but my family was patrons for the past 70 years my grandfather was close to the owners. Over the years I became friendly with Patsy who picked me and my girlfriend (now wife) out of the long line and said you don't wait in line. Miss those days! Well me and my girl are celebrating our 30 year of marriage this year and our 1st date was at Luna on 6/20/89.
We stopped by for lunch around 1:30 on a Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was quite empty. Visiting from Florida, we had Chinese food for dinner the night before and were feeling hot, hungry, and tired. This was the first place we saw next to Chinatown, so we decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, we were not impressed. The service was mediocre and the white pizza we ordered was not comparable to the New York-style pizza we had hoped for. The Caesar salad dressing was tasty, but I had to request more croutons and the lettuce was a bit bland. Overall, we felt we should have kept walking as there were likely better dining options in Little Italy. I would not recommend returning to this restaurant.
