My partner ordered the Matzah ball soup and half a corned beef sandwich. The soup was cold and not good, even after they had heated it. The bread was full. My falafel came with yogurt sauce poured over it and it was not mentioned on the menu. I'm vegan and I won't be back.
Mile End is a Montreal-style Jewish Deli. To that end, it is not high on ambiance. The food was very good, although the portion of my $15 smoked meat sandwich was small and came with no accompaniments (I even had to pay for the pickles, which are usually complimentary at most delis). I was headed to a show at a nearby theater, so it was convenient at that time, but I would not travel out of my way to go there.
Our dinner was amazing and fresh, so much flavor and love the vibe. Excellent service!
It is a terrific place to eat. I love the Brooklyn one although much smaller . The manhattan one has much more space. But the food in both places is wonderful, delicious and the service is great.
