And the restaurant had a sign that it was closed for maintenance.
This place was once great. our favorite Thai restaurant in new york. the menu was sprinkled in half and the portions shrunk (the $20 portion pork was probably 3 ounces.) very disappointing
It’s good Thai food but not much selection and classical dishes are not available: mango and sticky rice or Tom Yum soup.
We were first greeted by the chef, who was extremely friendly. Our waiter was not as welcoming, and rolled his eyes when we asked to order something not on the menu (a Thai-style fried egg! Is it really that uncommon? . Overall, the food was great (pad Thai on the sweet side, so ask for dried chili flakes on the side to bring a little heat . I’d be back again if I can guarantee we won’t be paired with that server!
