The salad was the absolute best thing I ate. The vegetables were cut perfectly and the vinaigrette was delicious. The crostini with the salad was equally delicious. There was no plastic ware included. They should also include Parmesan cheese
In general, the food was great! The standout dish for me was the dessert, Cioccolato, which was a delicious combination of chocolate cake, ganache, crème, and a salty crunch. The Polpettine appetizer was okay, but I personally preferred the toast it came with. Our entrees included spaghetti, gnocchi, garganelli, Michael's special lasagna, and cappelletti, all cooked perfectly with tasty sauces. My favorite was the cappelletti, followed by the garganelli, then the gnocchi and lasagna tied, and lastly the spaghetti. We also tried the veal, which was good with added cheese. The service was decent, making it a great spot for a meal with family or friends. While not the best Italian restaurant I've been to, the food was all very good and I would recommend giving this place a try!
The atmosphere at this restaurant is perfect for a romantic date night! We loved everything we tried, but the octopus is a stand-out dish that you must try. And you can't go wrong with any of the pasta options either.
It's been a minute since we took a holiday weekend in New York City, but when we do, we always make sure we eat at this gem of an Italian restaurant located in SoHo. Always a consistently good meal with a good price point and attentive friendly service. Great menu, but also don't sleep on the specials That are usually seasonally driven. the best bite of the night was the crispy fried artichokes as an appetizer. That being said all the antipasto dishes are winners also. Entrées consist of pasta dishes, along with plenty of meat and poultry dishes that will please everybody. complete the evening with a good espresso and the bomboloni's served warm with caramel and chocolate sauce. Highly recommended when in the area. I would definitely suggest reservations, especially on the weekend the place and get pretty crazy busy.
I love a deal so when I heard about $15 pasta deals at Osteria Morini I had to find someone to come try it with me. We tried: Cappelletti (truffle ricotta ravioli and prosciutto) Carbonara Tagiatelle Barbaietole (roasted beets, pistachio brittle, gorgonzola crema) Chocolate caramel mousse Overall, it was a decent meal for a good price. I've definitely had better pasta in the city but for $15 on Mondays if I was in the area i'd be happy to come in and get the truffle ricotta pasta again. They won't blow your mind, but they will get the job done. Skip the mousse and beet salad. Nothing special. 3.4/5
