Soothr - New York

I had to check out Soothr after my friend mentioned she packed their shrimp curry in her suitcase to take back to LA!

I've been eager to try Soothr for quite some time, and I finally made it there. Overall, my experience was quite positive. My friend and I particularly loved the cocktails—they were both inventive and tasty. As for the food, we ordered the seasonal lobster noodles and the well-known curry noodles. While they were both delicious, I found them to be less unique and exciting than I had anticipated. Overall, I would still say this restaurant is very good, but considering how difficult it is to secure a reservation, I'm not sure it would become my top choice for Thai cuisine.

Soothr has always been my favorite Thai restaurant in the city. The decor and atmosphere are so relaxing that it feels like I'm transported to Thailand. Specifically, Gavin, our server, recommended the crispy noodles in curry sauce, and I absolutely loved it! If you're a fan of curry, you definitely need to try it. Soothr also serves fantastic cocktails. My friend and I once sampled every drink on the menu, and I can say they were all great! My personal favorite was the pearl.

Food has never left me speechless until I came here for the first time last week. Oh. My. God. One of the most delicious meals I’ve ever had in my entire life!!!My boyfriend got the duck noodles I got a special which had sausage and so many yummy things in it that I probably can’t spell right. The service was SO fast and the hosts were so friendly.I can see why this place has rave reviews this was one of the most perfect meals I’ve ever had. Fantastic service, delicious food, and a really cool atmosphere. I can’t wait to come back!

There's always a line outside of Soothr and the hype is real. Everything we ordered was delicious! Recommend the duck spring rolls, the sukhothai noodles and their cocktails (ordered the special Plub Pla Chai, which is not always on the menu, it was fantastic first time trying a cocktail with persimmon)
