Whipped Urban Dessert Lab - New York

Been on my insta feed for months so figured we would try it out after a Yankee game one night. We got there just before midnight and waited roughly 20 minutes. The insta reels looked better but it tasted fine, no real bursts of flavor like you would think from traditional dairy ice cream but it was good.

My experience at the urban dessert lab was pretty good. I’ve been wanting to come here for years but never made it until now. I visited on a Saturday evening. During my visit, staff were quick but I do wish they would have provided me with a quick explanation or information related to their ice cream shop. I walked in, was greeted I think??? Not sure) and I just got on line. I picked a safe choice, vanilla with crushed chocolate cookies Oreo like).Personally, I wasn’t a huge fan of their vanilla ice cream. It kind of tasted like frozen watery milk kind of like a low fat milk). Anyway it’s definitely a great alternative for someone looking for a plant based snack vegans, lactose intolerants, etc) but definitely was not my favorite. If you’re an ice cream fanatic and you enjoy a creamy ice cream, then this isn’t for you. The ice cream isnt as creamy as I wanted. It wasnt bad, it just was not for me. It’s also a bit costly $6 for ice cream only with topping options available at an additional cost.FYI they do have limited) indoor and outdoor seating available.

Really good for people with dietary restrictions, and is very yummy. However, the store’s really small and crowded, and usually you’d have to wait outside when it’s really busy.

Not just the best vegan ice cream but THE BEST ICE CREAM I’ve ever eaten. Every cone is culinary masterwork. Can’t wait to go back!

I ordered the matcha soft serve and it was barely cold. As soon as I got it, it was melting on me. The cones aren’t fresh at all and definitely come from a box. It cost $9 for a cone and with a tip you’re going to pay at least $10. I really wanted to like this place because I’m vegan, but unfortunately I wouldn’t come here again, and I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.
