Las Delicias Mexicanas - New York City

The food at Delicias is consistently excellent. I have been a customer for over 6 years and recently when my wife and I were feeling unwell, the chicken soup we ordered was a true gift. It arrived piping hot and was so delicious that it made us forget we were sick. The soup came with lime, onion, cilantro, and tortillas to complete the meal. It was absolutely perfect!

The portion size was generous and the flavor quite authentic. I wished there was more meat in my pozole, but overall it was not bad. It is worth a visit if you are in the area and craving Mexican food.

I gave this restaurant a four-star rating because the food is delicious and the service is excellent. However, I was disappointed that they did not offer complimentary chips like most Mexican restaurants do. Instead, they charged $9.50 for chips and guacamole, which I found to be overpriced. If the chips were expensive, I can only imagine the prices for the other menu items. While I could understand this pricing in midtown Manhattan, it seemed unreasonable for this location. I am unsure if I would dine here again.

The restaurant was pleasant, but the birria tacos I ordered did not meet my expectations. The service was okay. Overall, I would rate the food as 1 out of 5 stars.

I love this place! The food is authentic, the prices are good, and the service is friendly. The decorations are cute and the patio area is awesome. While I personally wouldn't pay $20 for a margarita, my Pacifico with lime and salt was cold and reasonably priced. The tacos, rice, and beans were delicious. The salsas included were spicy but I couldn't stop eating them and covered my tacos in them. I will definitely be back! Hopefully they will have a happy hour special so I can try a margarita someday.
