The taste of the lasagnas reminds me of a pasta Al uovo in Rome.. and/ or casual but delicious food that you’d find in a city market during lunch time. They hook it up with free cookies and generous portions most of the time.
What a very pleasant surprise! I had the vegetarian lasagna and Pilar (the owner) gave me a thumb print cookie as a gift. The lasagna was perfectly balanced, delicate and delicious, I was not expecting this surprise!
Incredibly tasty food— owned by a very kind husband and wife. They gave me extra cookies! Highly highly recommend!
I've been coming to Mille Nonne since they opened, the food is really good.the owners are great people. Every Wednesday is pasta day for me, so when I show up I'm always greeted with Ciao Anthony, and good conversation. They make you feel like family.
So while I waited for my bag to be repaired by D'Alex tailors I went to La Marketa on Delancey and Essex. I was looking for lunch when I found my dessert. What a pleasant surprise to find vegan chocolate pudding. It was supposed to have caramelized orange but they ran out so they offered me the option of mixed berries chocolate and berries one of my favorite combos). The chocolate was rich, pudding texture was perfect and the berries were a delight. I will return and if this pudding is an example of the culinary talent I can't wait.
