We had snapper, a salad course, wine pairings, etc. There was a dinner party vibe. Very enjoyable, we're happy we went. Visited 1/2023.
We had such an amazing experience on Monday night that we booked another reservation for Thursday! It is a unique dining experience that pairs delicious food with the chance to learn (and drink! wine in a nightly theme. We experienced volcanic soil wines which I knew nothing about and domestic wines which I tend to like more than Old World wines. The vibe is cozy and nicely hip, and the servers are all knowledgeable and friendly.
Casual communal atmosphere with a cool cellar and downstairs bar. Great events, great wine selection, and great food. If you're looking for an interesting pick for an upscale casual dinner this is a great pick.
Thought this was a fun experience! Loved how the decor felt chic, homey living room. We came with three people so were given two dishes to split per course which was more than enough food. Staff was very friendly. Would come again for another tasting!
My husband and I got a res for a 6:15pm diner party on a Saturday night, 4 wines x 4 courses for $88 each. The space is inviting a mix of cozy and art deco, with dimmable bankers lamps on each small, marble table. The bathroom walls are schlacked with magazine pictures of dogs. The music is 90s pop throwbacks. The host loudly announced the names of the chefs and waitstaff, trying to sound super jazzed but coming across a little forced. The sommelier in residence gave a short speech about how much he loves sparkling wines and they would be the theme of the meal. The wine pourings are small, as others have noted, but I didn't mind that overall I drank about 2 glasses' worth. The wines tasted good; nothing I felt that I needed to run to a store and buy. I did think it strange that we had to finish the wine pairings quickly so that they could pour the next one into the same glass. Seemed odd to mix the wines they had so painstakingly chosen to compliment each course. I did think the food portion, for $88, was small. My husband and I were not full by the end of the meal. We received a plate of fish crudo, a bitter greens salad, a meaty pasta dish, and a blueberry cake. I found the salad and blueberry cake the most tasty. The pasta was expertly cooked but the sauce way too spicy for me, so my husband the majority. There are better prix fixes out there, and definitely ones that give you more for your money.
