I ordered two coconut shrimp buns for $13, plus four sides for another $13, which brought my total to $31 and some change after tax and tip—only to leave still feeling hungry. The pricing was confusing; I was initially told the sides were $3.50 each, but later found out they charged me $13 because that amount was per side. Who decided that bean sprouts should cost $3.50? It just doesn't make sense for these items to be priced separately when they should be part of a dish that actually fills you up. The atmosphere tries to hit that fast-casual mark, but it feels cold, hard, and overly bright, resembling more of a sit-down restaurant’s pricing without the hospitality or ambiance you'd expect. The staff was friendly, but there’s something off about their water system. Honestly, everything here feels as if it was designed by an algorithm. I was misled by photos of a well-displayed menu; instead, I found a QR code on the tables, and only two printed menus floating around for multiple people to share. I ended up waiting quite a while to even see a menu. There’s a serious lack of character—no charisma, uniqueness, nerve, or talent. Instead, there's this robotic music playing that creates an atmosphere urging patrons to leave as quickly as possible. To top it off, a small child kept wandering over to stare at me, while their parents seemed unfazed. Was this child also part of an experiment? After spending $31 and still leaving unsatisfied, I decided to check the restroom first before exiting. It was clean and odor-free, but there was a puddle on the floor, and someone had forgotten to flush.
The gluten-free Asian food here is absolutely delicious! I ordered the glass noodles with Korean steak, fresh ginger, bean sprouts, bok choy, kale, sesame soy, scallions, and crispy garlic, and it was simply perfect. I could eat it every day!
I created my own bowl, and it turned out to be much better than I expected. The combination of ingredients was unique compared to what I usually find at other salad shops, so I wasn't sure how it would taste, but it was really delicious. My bowl included vegetable noodles, iceberg lettuce, kimchi, onions, grilled bok choy, watermelon radish, fried onions, and miso sauce. It was very satisfying!
I would say good effort in trying to create the Asian style of noodles dishes, but with its own twist and can cater to the general crowd. Order the Thai Basil Chop noodles and at first bite, found the noodles to be too sweet as lots of sweet sauceand soy sauce are being added, however, the more you bite into it, and will slowly appreciate the taste and how it was meant totaste like to cater to the general crowd. The vegetable fritters tasted good too. Service from the lady staff was very goodtoo, very friendly and nice!
The food was Delicious. Ordered the Wok meal with cauliflower rice, tofu and veggies. Service was professional and friendly. A little taken back by the price, but I guess that's New York! BTW, thank you for having vegan options!????
