This place is a must-stop for everyone, from those with just a remote appreciation for coffee to the hard-core aficionados. The coffee is single origin and roasted (right there in Brooklyn! by people who really know their stuff. Also, the taste of the coffee is beyond delicious, as if each drop contained its own form of ingestible magical realism. The taste of the coffee will linger, urging you to return. The environment is very clean and welcoming, with all staff being very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. I found this place while walking around Brooklyn, on my way to somewhere else. I almost didn't walk in, but after not being able to stop obsessing over the coffee's taste and the comforting feel of the café, I went back for some beans so I can enjoy the coffee until I can make it back to the city. The music is really good, too. Don't go to Brooklyn without stopping here. Pro tip: if you get the cold brew, add a shot of espresso to it. :
It's a perfect place to have a quick coffee or sit and enjoy while looking out the window. Andrea and Christian were very happy to share with me more about Colombian coffee culture. Their father buys the coffee they sell directly from farmers in the Quindío, Colombia, meaning that they pay fairer prices directly to the farmers (instead of cooperative businesses absorbing some of their wages) and that the coffee has been literally hand-chosen, making the quality superb. I wish I lived closer to visit them more often!!!
Definitely The best coffee I had in my visit to NYC
This is one of the best coffee/pastry places in NYC. Great coffee. Delicious selection of Columbian pastries. Love it.
