Sweetgreen - New York City

I really don’t understand where all the hype is coming from. The food was so disappointing that I felt compelled to leave a comment. I paid $20 for a bowl that wasn’t even half full, and the portions for each add-on were minuscule. I tried the $2 portobello and the $3 blackened chicken, but both tasted like they came from a can. The chicken was nothing like what I expected from “blackened chicken”—I even wondered if they might have given me the wrong type of chicken because it didn’t resemble roasted chicken either. The cooked ingredients were overwhelmingly salty. I ordered bread but didn’t receive any. The balsamic vinaigrette was too thick and lacked flavor. Overall, the options were very limited, and the add-ons were overpriced, especially given their small portions.

It's definitely my favorite salad bar in NYC. I miss the Omega salmon salad with seaweed miso ginger sauce that they used to serve. My second favorite is the Caesar salad. I always leave feeling completely satisfied.

The food was delicious, though I found it a bit pricey for what you get. Overall, a clean and tasty experience.

This location is great. Cute place with the typical sweetgreen food. I enjoy the salads and the warm bowls, love the options and even if it is expensive, it?s pretty filling.

Absolutely horrible portion size. I am a regular at this place, but of late they literally fill in 50 to 60% of the portion size. Today it was height of shamelessness. The server barely scooped 4 pieces of apple, 4 pieces of chicken and filled in only 30 to 35% of the bowl. I ordered harvest bowl....and he missed the goat cheese for both the orders. $30+ for 2 Harvest bowls...not even 30% of the portion size. I am a regular customer for Sweetgreen and have visited so many of them throughout the city, so their quality and portion sizes are not new to me. This is ridiculous and shameless.
