Schnapps Bar is a charming bar and pub situated in National Park Village. With its inviting fireplace and classic bar design, it offers a cozy atmosphere. The staff is friendly and attentive. We shared the messy ribs, which were generously portioned. The buffalo wings were both crispy and tender, making them a delight. For dessert, we enjoyed a brownie topped with ice cream. They also provide some vegetarian and gluten-free options. As for the vegetarian choices, there are a few available on the menu.

A popular spot to gather after a day on the mountain. The staff is exceptionally friendly. Price range per person: NZ$10–20. Recommended dish: Garlic Bread.

Returning from the mountain, this place was a very much welcomed stop. Great food and beers. The plates are huge and beautifully served. Typical bar to watch the rugby game! The bar is also the local bottle shop, once the 4 square in the near corner does not sell alcohol. You can play some pool and arcades and also play mini golf in the car park.
