This is our Italian place when we want to eat a lot. We never leave hungry
We decided to give it a try as we have not been to a Carino’s in over a year or two. Unfortunately we haven’t been missing anything. The service was lacking and they were far from busy. The staff kept bumping the back of my chair and there was plenty of room. We had to ask to have our water refilled. Starting with the bread and garlic olive oil, it’s changed, no more delicious herbs or roasted garlic. The garlic was the consistency of toffee and stuck to our teeth. They also don’t have oil bottles on the tables anymore. The mozzarella sticks were a little grainy. I asked for a Caesar salad but received a house, the lettuce tasted like a freezer and the dressing was no where to be found. Our entrees were the better part of our meal. The cheese tort with meat sauce and fettuccine Alfredo were nice but still not quite up to par. Finally the turtle cheesecake it was very dense and heavy, appears to be straight from the freezer. Really, go to just about any locally owned Italian restaurant and you have a much more pleasant experience.
Bread, salad with blue cheese dressing, 16 oz Ribeye, spaghetti with meat sauce and sweet tea. Food and service were TOPS!
