Very friendly owners. Welcoming. Nice, homely, down to earth, traditional pub. Excellent home made food generous portions. Great value for money. Real fire in the winter months. Recommended.

This is my third visit since the reopening and it was just as great as before. The menu offers a variety of options, the portions are generous, the prices are fair, and the location is lovely. What's not to love! I highly recommend this restaurant.

We’ve not been to this pub for years and it’s certainly changed. Out has gone the country chintz feel and it now has a distinctly casual and relaxed vibe. Greeted by lovely friendly landlord and lady. Menu has pub favourites plus being Sunday, the traditional roast. We went for that but I guess for families the fact you can actually have what you want rather than a roast must be great! Our roasts were lovely, more than we could eat consisting of fresh cooked meat accompanied by 4 veg and both roast and mashed potato. Not forgetting of course the Yorkshire pud with thick lovely gravy. Desert was equally delicious Great place, great food and nice people for a very fair price We’ll go back
