The Alders - Newark and Sherwood

I recently discovered this fabulous restaurant and what a gem it is! The staff are delightful and the menu is very good. I ordered the battered cod and chips, which were perfectly cooked, very tasty, and generously portioned. For dessert, I had the Ice cream sundae, which was absolutely perfect. The carvery also looked appealing. The entire restaurant, including the restrooms, was spotless. I found the experience to be excellent value for money and I am already looking forward to my next visit.

I visited the restaurant on Monday at 6:00. It wasn't very busy. I ordered fish and chips, while my wife had a regular carvery. My fish and chips were alright, but I felt like I needed more chips. You get more at Wetherspoons!!! My wife's carvery was also okay, but the portion of meat was a bit tight.

Took my parents to the alders for Sunday dinner, what can I say. Food was excellent and portion size is nice too. The staff are nice and friendly I was served by a young lady called ebony lovely and polite a great asset to any...team. I will be returning in the future.

Amazing meal as always, food always amazing and was great value for money. We were served by Aliesha she was great and very helpful.
