The Cottage Takeaway

This is hands down the best place I've discovered for curry. The garlic chilli chicken is absolutely incredible - I would trade an organ for the recipe! They also serve fantastic pizza and their milkshakes are just as good as anywhere else you can find.

Impeccable service, looked after from start to finish, food tasted amazing and it came relatively quick, would definitely recommend !

This place is an Indian take away that doubles as a pizza take away which says it all. I have default meals I use to test restaurants/take away (eg lasagne in Italian restaurants etc. . For Indian cuisine it is a Chicken Rogan Josh. This was quite simply the worst I have ever tasted! The chicken was dry (it had obviously been cooked earlier and kept warm and the sauce lacked any real taste or punch. The garlic naan I ordered was undercooked and doughy and on further inspection turned out to be nothing more than a thin pizza base covered in dice garlic from a tin or jar but certainly not fresh. Probably the worst Indian meal I have ever had!

I must confess that I fell asleep, but when I called the restaurant, they falsely claimed that they had left the order at the door. However, my neighbor's cameras show otherwise. This kind of deceitful behavior is concerning. I will be pursuing legal action against them for their dishonesty. Be cautious when dealing with this establishment.

I have been a loyal customer of Cottage and its predecessor, La Bangla, for many years when they offered dine-in options. Now that they only offer takeout, we continue to be satisfied with the food, although we do miss the option to dine in. The service at Cottage has always been superior to that of other restaurants.
