The Pound Pub - Newark and Sherwood

Dirty place, very rough. dirty floor, in the need of a large expenditure for the place to update. cheap, but I would pay more for better. toilets very dirty, walls need a clean and color. not to go a place, avoid.

They say location, location and yes, it has. but I'm afraid it's grubby and something intimidating. the price is not everything. avoid, avoid.

Avoid them! this is the dirtyest place I've ever stepped in! you're stuck on the floor, sofas have holes in the poor rest where the people have picked them. only drink them out of the bottles (and then wipe the tops to clean them) as the glass are dirty. the journey to the toilet is an experience. dirty walls and stairs. toilets with doors off, or no locks, mirror broken. the doorway has the faust. barmaid was rude when she recognized you.

There is, I should say, a certain client who goes here, yes it is cheap beer, but this place has nothing else to offer. traditional spucke and sawdust pub nothing else except the cheap beer to recommend the place sorry but I say. as I find, unless they are desperate for a drink or broker, avoid as the plague and use them one of the other water holes in the city that could be more expensive, but have much better atmospheres.

We have been going in this pup for about 2 years and yes you get what u pay for. Today as normal we walk in with are 2 dogs only to be told they now don't allow dogs anymore. I could understand if this was...a posh pub but when u have to wipe your feet on the way out is so funny. Found another pub and spent £60 your loss pond pub
