Charleys Philly Steaks - Newark

I visited this restaurant for the first time tonight and I thoroughly enjoyed the cheesesteak. I had ordered a paprika cheesesteak, but they forgot the paprika. However, I won't complain because it was still really delicious.

I will never eat at this restaurant again. I ordered a simple cheesesteak with just ketchup and cheese, but they forgot the ketchup. The way they handled the food was unprofessional; the chef tossed the meat to the woman preparing it. When I finally sat down to eat, I was so disappointed. The meat was piled awkwardly on one side of the bun, and the bun itself was cold. It was a really frustrating experience. I wish I could share a picture of my meal!

The prices are reasonable, and there's a good variety to choose from. You can get a combo for $11, which includes a sandwich and a drink. It was my first time visiting this restaurant, and I tried the chicken cheesesteak. The bread was fresh and perfectly toasted. Overall, it was quite tasty for a casual eatery, although it wasn't the best I've ever had. The staff here are very friendly, which added to the positive experience.

Not very friendly staff and the steaks are overpriced compared to just OK taste. The other food is good, but this is a steak joint, and I expected a better experience.

The teriyaki chicken sandwich is amazing when they put enough sauce on it. And omg the peach lemonade is incredible, recommended to me by a t-mobile employee. My 4 star complaint is only because one time I got a lemonade and noticed a little black piece of mold in the ice. But the food is good.
