Almost everything in the menu is $5. The combo platter is $6 and if you want extra meat or extra rice, I believe it's an extra $1. If you want extra white AND/OR hot sauce, don't be afraid to ask bc it's free! Drinks are only $1. Employees are very welcoming and hardworking. They always have a smile on their face. Based on my experience, they're only open during the fall and spring semester so make sure to get as many platters as you want before winter/summer classes start! I've seen them open as early as 9:15 am in the morning but I'm not sure what time they close exactly. They also have burgers and cheesesteaks too!!! But if you wanna stay safe, get a chicken or lamb over rice platter with salad, EXTRA white sauce, and ask for hot sauce if you want it spicy. But be careful!!! It's EXTREMELY hot and ADDICTING!

The mango tacos are so good and the staff is so friendly and efficient.

Good customer service and great food goes a long way and this food truck has both! I had the mango chicken taco and it is BOMB! The ingredients are fresh and flavorful and is real Mexican food. If you’re in Newark and/or near Rutgers Newark campus, go by and try them on site!

This restaurant was disappointing; all of our food was soggy despite requesting fresh dishes. I would give it one star and definitely do not recommend it.

The Hala food truck by the university hospital in Newark offers delicious food, but the customer service leaves much to be desired. When you arrive, the staff member barely acknowledges you and makes you wait while he finishes whatever he’s doing. When he finally takes your order, he does so with an attitude that suggests you're inconveniencing him. He hands you your order without making eye contact and rudely takes your payment without a word or a thank you for your business. This disappointing service is why I rated it three stars; customer service is just as important as the quality of the food you provide.
