I wanna write a critical comment about the administrative policies held in this Starbucks location. It is kept really cold on purpose via AC no matter what the outside temperature is, probably with the aim making customers leave asap. 3 years ago, I could enjoy my coffee and study here with no problem, but it's getting impossible due to the freezing cold inside. Disclaimer: I have no problem with the Starbucks workers. They're doing the best they can. This temperature policy is apparently on the administration here.
The restaurant is open, but they only accept mobile orders. I ordered a coffee, and the barista informed me that they were running 50 minutes behind the estimated pickup time from the app. So essentially, I’d have to wait an hour just for one coffee. I had work that day and couldn’t wait that long. When I asked to cancel my order, I was told I couldn’t do it in-store because they were short-staffed, and the register was "closed." Yet, they still use it for customers on OCMP. Last month, they were quick to reprimand me for not wearing a mask for even a moment, but now the place is more packed than my frat parties. They really need to sort this out.
Barista that took order was helpful because my wife had a couple of questions about the caramel coffees w/espresso. Bought 2 grandes, one of which was a hot chocolate (I'm not a coffee guy) for me. Her coffee was maybe 2/3 full and mine seemed to be closer to half. My hot chocolate, with and without whipped cream, is shown. Is that normal?! The hot chocolate was warm and no where near hot, but that was OK-didn't have to wait to drink it.
