Originally a drive-in offering a variety of items, the brothers revamped the business in 1948 and reopened a new McDonald's after a three-month renovation. The focus of the small restaurant was to efficiently produce large quantities of food at low prices. To achieve this, the menu was limited to hamburgers, later replaced with fries, drinks, and desserts. The brothers introduced the Speedee Service System, which included a self-service counter to eliminate the need for waitstaff. Hamburgers were pre-cooked, wrapped, and kept warm under heat lamps to ensure quick service. These innovations allowed McDonald's to offer a basic hamburger for just 15 cents, significantly cheaper than competitors. The success of McDonald's led the brothers to establish a franchise program.
The service at this restaurant is always fast and accurate. I especially love the morning drive-thru employee who is always very friendly.
I gave this McDonald's 5 stars because a particular employee, Jocelia, was extremely kind and friendly to me! She brightened my day when I was feeling down. My children adore her and think she's wonderful! I will definitely be returning. She's like a ray of sunshine! Absolutely love it!!
