Not very much to choose from in the line of food. Coffee was fine . Lovely outdoor seating area.
A perfectly good little coffee shop tucked away in the back in the Dos Vientos neighborhood. As others noted it can be a little hard to find without directions but thankfully it's located in the main business/church area in this neighborhood that we found it after a quick little drive around.Honey Cup has multiple locations in Ventura County and this location is definitely peaceful and in the sleepier part of town. Great for sitting outside with your coffee to relax or catch up on some reading as it's quiet. The inside also wasn't super busy on a weekend morning so it's safe to say that you'll get a pretty nice experience given that it's not as busy as some of their other locations could be. The atmosphere is definitely a 5/5 in terms of cozy cute coffee shop vibes. I liked that they had a little bit of swag in the form of coffee cups and sweaters. The interior was cozy with leather couches and stools, also the high ceilings and mindful music volume made this a nice spot to sit inside.Service was friendly and thorough. You can either order at a screen or order up at the counter with a live person. I opted to order at the counter with a nice gentlemen as there was no line. He was friendly and efficient. No frills service but nice. I was impressed by the menu as they have a large drink and food selection. I also appreciated the more unique flavors like a honey lavender lemonade and jasmine plum mocha. I definitely want to come back to try these drinks, as I wasn't feeling too adventurous today.I went with a maple cinnamon latte and a Nutella pastry. My friend ordered a cold brew and a biscuit with strawberry jam. We had mixed reviews and liked the opposites of what we ordered. I like my pasty more than my friend liked her biscuit but she loved her cold brew where my latte was just okay. Nutella Pastry: 5/5 the pastry was massive but oh so delicious. The pastry was buttery, flaky, and fresh. Loved the Nutella drizzle and chocolate chips, definitely a mega splurge but it was really good.Maple Cinnamon Latte: 3/5 my latte was just okay. The flavor was mild but more than anything the latte was just too watered down for me. I would skip their lattes and go with something else. It was fine but not my favorite.Service Ambiance: 4.5/5 very cozy and comfortable inside. Friendly staff and I enjoyed the different seating arrangements and areas to sit inside and outside. A cute coffee shop and I would love to come back to try some more of their speciality drinks and breakfast items.
Such a beautiful coffee shop with a great amount of space and seating for a large group. Went on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn't too busy. I got the iced brown sugar espresso with honey cold foam, and it was delicious!
Good coffee but very impersonal. No “welcome” or “hi” when you walk in and forced to order at a kiosk instead of talking to a human. I like to talk to a barista going places and that doesn’t happen here. The kid behind the counter doesn’t come out from the back until you’ve placed an order.
