Cafe Rouge Newbury

We were in a Friday night. with tesco. at the arrival one received a table in the corner in front of the other guests in the restaurant, all sitting in one area. we went in at 8 o'clock and not a single person went after us. Eating was so disappointing we went for dinge we had never tried to expect aromen and were so disappointed. it was not easy to see why it was so calm. left at 9.20 no atmosphere I really hate to write such a bad review, but there's something wrong here. I was in cafe rouge in birmingham and it was completely different.

The waiter was excellent - very friendly and great with children. The food was delicious and the beer tasted fresh.

The food was excellent. the service was pretty slow, but I think that was because it was a Sunday, they had junior inexperienced staff waiting.

Fantastic eating, staff very courteous and friendly. will eat bad again!

We love the mussels at Cafe Rouge where I took my husband for his birthday lunch. They were as good as on previous occasions at Basingstoke, sadly closed. Excellent Creme Brûlée too.
