Denny's - Newcastle

The service at this restaurant was very friendly and efficient, despite being short-staffed.

I dined at this restaurant on a Sunday evening and was surprised to find that only two staff members showed up for their shift: one cook and one waiter. Despite the short-staffing, they managed to serve my daughter, myself, and the half dozen other tables that were already seated. The service was exceptional and our waitress deserves a bonus. I wish I could have left a bigger tip because they definitely earned every penny that night!

Located in the small town of Newcastle along I-80, you will find Denny's restaurant. The owner, a past recipient of manager of the year from the Denny's corporation, runs the entire operation. The restaurant is impeccably clean and service is prompt. The spacious and comfortable dining area has plenty of natural light with booths for seating. The food is well-prepared and presented, and if there are any issues, the staff will quickly address it. Overall, a cool spot worth stopping by on your way from Sacramento to Tahoe. There was 6 of us in our party, ordering off the breakfast and lunch menus. The food was as we ordered and it arrived quickly. Our Waiter was on top of everything, kept our glasses filled throughout. He was friendly and efficient as well as funny. Woulddefinitely recommend this restaurant and would definitely eat here again.
