Hungry Horse - NEWCASTLE-UNDER-LYME

I visited this restaurant with my son and we tried the buy one get one free burger deal. It was incredible value and the burgers were delicious. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be returning soon, that's a guarantee.

I had lunch today with my mother and daughter at a restaurant. We were able to sit outside in the sunshine. Ordering through the app was simple. Our drinks and meals arrived promptly and were hot and fresh. The food was fantastic.

We visited here on 8/4/22, atmosphere excellent, staff very friendly and welcoming , service efficient . Great for family's and friends alike . Highly recommend.

Ordered chicken kebab menu said seasoned fries they had a bottle of paprika or something similar tipped over them totally inedible. Ordered children's food for the grandkids and they had to eat with adult cutlery you would think childrens meals would come with children cutlery?. Very disappointed won't be eating here again.

This is the first time of visiting the cherry tree for food and drinks since lockdown and we had heard quite good reviews about food and service so though we would give it a try. However it was disappointing from start to finish. I can fully appreciate that service may be a little slower given the circumstances but we placed our drinks order through the app and roughly ten minutes later placed our food order. Our starters arrived and still no drinks but the rest of the tables food hadn’t arrived (3 separate orders through the app). Myself and my partner ordered on the same app so once we finished our starters our friends food was just arriving. We asked about the drinks and also asked if the mains could come out at the same time as our friends so we weren’t all eating at separate times as we were all sat together. We had also enquired about the blue light card discount and was told they would sort it... we never heard back. The food arrived all together this time but mine and my partners food was lukewarm and the bacon was missing from the burger. We ordered another round of drinks ... incorrect order after asking how to add a mixer to the drink as well. When the waitress arrived to bring the drinks she went that quickly we didn’t get chance to pass our empty glasses or tell her the drink was wrong meaning we had to go to the bar which defeats the point of the app in the first place. In the end when we were leaving someone approached the table to clear all the plates and numerous glasses we mentioned the discount to which the response was that they were going to give us table service but this was never mentioned when we first enquired. Safe to say we won’t be returning for a while!
