Regular customers frequent this spot. I'm glad my cousin who's been in Newcastle for about 5 years introduced me to this spot. I decided on a soup based dish. Beef Flank Soup with Egg Noodles. Delicious. With the Chilli provided, the strength of the soup dish pervaded my tastebuds. Jaz ordered the House Special Soup Noodles. What this bakery is also known for is their Hong Kong Polo Buns. I brought some home, heated them up in the air-fryer, and boy, were they delicious. Crisp, buttery, sweet enough. I'm bound to come here again.
We have been frequenting this restaurant for some time now. The employees seem to either struggle with basic math or are intentionally dishonest. We advise customers to carefully review their bill when purchasing multiple items, as we have personally experienced being overcharged by at least £1, sometimes up to £2. This deceitful behavior has been reported by other customers as well, indicating that this is a longstanding issue at the establishment.
The restaurant served truly authentic Chinese cuisine. The establishment was quite small, with a limited seating area. While their buns weren't the best I've ever tasted, they were good enough to satisfy a craving for home-cooked food.
I 've visited this place a few times and the quality of the baked goods have constantly been really good. This place is my go to place for authentic 'Chinese/Asian style ' breads The bolo bun is amazing! They do serve noodles as well The beef brisket noodle is authentic and a must try too. The prices are affordable with bakes starting from 80p and noodles from 5pounds. Portions are decent too! This is such an underrated hidden find, don 't miss out especially when you 're craving for some authentic Chinese food! Staff were polite and service was really quick. My only gripe would be that I expected Hong Kong style tea nai cha) but it was just a normal tea bag with milk added unfortunately : I guess not everything can be replicated but other than that, I think everything else is authentic!
Wow. We visited this bakery on recommendations for our weekend in newcastle. Well, I really wish we lived closer as it was amazing. The bakery items were all freshly baked, extremely tasty and very good value for money. The hot meals were cooked quickly and again great value for money and delicious. Our young children loved the pork buns and the fried beef ho fun. Don't forget to try the hot pork pastries on a Sunday lunchtime we had a few of these! I have only ever had such great Chinese food in Hong Kong, and seriously recommend this amazing gem of a place!
