Accommodated a group of 20+ grubby cyclists easily. Food good, service excellent. Very friendly. Would definitely recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Clare and Angela were so welcoming. The food was beautiful. We had soup and cheese scones. The soup was so tasty, the presentation was pretty and the scones were really really good. I also just had to have a cake and it was as wonderful as it looked. The fire was on and the cafe has such a great charm. It was stormy outside so there were only a few of us (another group coming out as we went in) but the cafes decor and the lovely friendly staff made the atmosphere of this cafe lush. I have been in the summer and Christmas but this is an all year round gem! If you are visiting belsay it's well worth going a bit further north and being right opposite Wallington makes it perfect to visit before or after your walk. They have loads of events on too. I am not able to make it but the stargazing one in half term sounds unforgettable and so unique. Honestly couldn't sing the praises of this gem anymore! X Wheelchair accessibility: I didn't go in my wheelchair as i was feeling ok that day, but I did check it out for whether I could access the cafe. Disabled toilet was great and no steps in on out of the cafe. I think I would have felt comfortable sitting in the lovely stable area as it was a bigger space and my chair would of fitted through easier. It's a lovely part of cafe as well and closer (but not to close) for accessible toliet.
Went for lunch today and got a table straight away. We were told it was table service so waited to be served 2 or 3 other party’s arrived a several minutes after us. The waiter took all the other tables orders that arrived after us and completely ignored us we left as we were sick of waiting and the waiter was ignoring us. We have had lovely lunches there before but they have now lost a customer as we won’t be going back again. Service: Dine in
Food was awful, bread and bacon very dry struggled to swallow it and very poor menu and layout, Way way over priced, certainly not worth the money. On the plus sude, Staff were very nice. Parking: No Service: Dine in Meal type: Brunch Price per person: £10–20
