La Maschera - Newcastle upon Tyne

I ordered a mix and match pizza and received 4 slices that were cold. The restaurant advertised cold wraps and pizza slices. When I asked about the cold pizza, the response was, "Why would we advertise cold pizza?" I received a partial refund but was disappointed to see that the returned pizza was placed back on display. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I finished my pizza at this restaurant and the same lady who served me went outside for a smoke. When she returned, she continued serving customers without washing her hands or changing her gloves. I was very disappointed and will not be returning to this place.

After visiting the Nicholas Church, my best friend and me were looking for a place to eat and there it is! Right in front of the church (perfect location! you can find La Maschera! The place is big and the staff is really friendly! We tried the peri peri chicken sandwich and the pesto sandwich. Amazing! Since we are italian we thought that putting the pesto sauce in a sandwich was weird, but as soon as we tried it we jumped on our chairs, it was so good! Their food is tasty, the staff is great, the location is perfect! Good job!

Just left, as a stag do group. Wanted a brew and a bacon sarnie each. Very friendly guy at the till, cheap price and was really nice. If in the town again, I will certainly make it my port of call to start the day.

I went in here for a salad, trying to be healthy. They had very little choice and almost everything was drowned in mayonnaise. I made my selection and my salad box was practically empty, with the sprinkle of lettuce, peppers, tomatoes and when adding roasted vegetables I was given about 2 bits of onion and a slice of courgette. It was fairly cheap £3, but I expected at least a half full salad box. I won't be returning!
