The option was to give us a refund and leave or make do and be served from an area with low tables to eat of our laps. The staff were very helpful in trying to make the most of a bad situation. Although they did keep the drinks flowing the food that was served was very disappointing with some dishes not available and only a small amount of stater and salad between 12. Obviously the person who took the booking made an error so maybe on another visit it would be ok . It was agreed that we shouldn’t pay the extra owed for our visit which was accepted.
We went for a colleague’s special birthday and we were bitterly disappointed on all levels. The food was lukewarm and was minimal with some things not provided as advertised. For drinks there was no Bellini or Kir Royale as advertised and you couldn’t switch drinks, e.g. from Prosseco to G&T. The seats and tables were not arranged to fit the number of people in our party. The staff were unfriendly. Never again.
The good was beautiful good size portions which we just couldn’t finish everything (we had the small plates). Service was good the only slight challenge was our booking (via email) didn’t quite make the system but the staff sorted it. Well worth a visit
Great bottomless brunch but could’ve done with more carbs! Had such a lovely afternoon great cocktails and the Prosecco was flowing but slightly disappointed with the “lashings” of patatas bravas, Mediterranean salad and bread. Drinks flowed but one small portion of potato and 3 slices of bread with some lettuce leaves wasn’t great between 5 people. Small detail but would’ve made all the difference. Grave and her colleagues were great and all the other food was lovely so just a small quibble. Would defo come back!
Me and my friend tried to go in and have a drink. We were dressed nicely, and hadn’t drink anything that night so we were clearly not drunk. The bouncer refused to let us in with a very rude attitude. He judged (and scanned) us from head to toe, made us very uncomfortable. Then he pointed out that we were holding a plastic bag which is not even that big, we got some crisps to take home and we clearly are not planning to eat them there, but because we were holding that bag, we were not ‘allowed’ to go in and have a drink. If you have a clear criteria who is ‘allowed’ to spend money in your bar I suggest you to make that super explicit and put that on a sign in front of your pub! Such a terrible experience.
