Red Diner - Newcastle upon Tyne

I booked this place at short notice for a party of 16 on a Stag Weekend. One single karaoke lounge which comfortably seated us around tables with a great view of the screen. We were in less than 2 minutes before the tunes were belted out! We had a steady flow of drinks and all really enjoyed their food. We initially booked for 2 hours but took an extra as we were having so much fun. Very surprised with the bill as well great value for money. Constructive criticism update Facebook site, website and have an answerphone. I found it really tough to get through to make a reservation. Would highly recommend and would love to visit again.

I don't like giving negative reviews, but unfortunately, this restaurant deserves it. The atmosphere was cold, with only table cloths on the tables and no other diners in sight - a bad sign! The service was decent, but the food quality was poor and the options on the set menu were underwhelming. The chicken dish had a rubbery texture, and the prawns tasted like they had been cleaned with bleach. Overall, the meal was a big disappointment and not worth the price. I would recommend trying King Neptune a few doors down next time - it's much better.

I just left this restaurant and I feel sorry for the staff. A group of ten rowdy individuals arrived at 5:45 pm, already drunk and causing a commotion. Unfortunately, we had already ordered our food. After finishing our soup, the atmosphere became unbearable and we were forced to leave. The bill came out to 50 pounds for just two bowls of soup. Despite the staff pleading for just 5 more minutes, we insisted on leaving. The noise from the table escalated and they even demanded an additional 30 pounds from us. We paid and left, refusing to take the plastic bag they had brought out. It was a disappointing experience.

Food barely cooked and inedible the service very slow, this place needs to be closed down soon as it is not safe.

Came to the restaurant with family and friends, the managers were not polite AT ALL and had a very bad attitude toward customers, floor staff didnt seem like they wanted to be there either. Will never go back to this place again! I dont think they know the meaning of HOSPITALITY.
