Sainsbury's Cafe - Newcastle upon Tyne

I stopped by for a drink after a long journey before shopping for groceries for university. The tea was hot, the scones were fresh, and the overall atmosphere was clean and comfortable.

You will always find the friendly staff here and the most beautiful food among many other supermarket cafes. When ordering from the menu, the staff always ask if they can get you anything when they bring the food, which is a nice touch. There are daily newspapers available.

Always a reliable place for coffee and cake. Lovely and good value cream tea. Well worth popping in if you are shopping.

I came here with my mother to kill time and we got the English breakfast. She had a bacon and black pudding sandwich. Despite the food not being great and reasonably priced, it was the staff that made my experience. I was served by a girl who I think was called Kate, who was lovely and had no problem dealing with my requests for more butter, etc.

After reading the previous review, I really hope that this caffe does not close! we've been coming here for years as we love the airy, covered poor ball of caffe. the service may not be the fastest, but it is not a problem and the personal is. always so pleasant and polite. we usually buy extra food and other shopping options while here, but if the caffe goes, we might be disturbing if we enjoy the walk then sit. so disappointing if there is no other alternative for a sarg closed, cake and sit down
