It is a while since we visited, the food and service was excellent on the previous occasions and nothing has changed, still fabulous. We had the special of Corned Beef Pie and veg, generous portions, well filled slice of pie, the various veg were perfectly...cooked and served piping hot. Finished it off with a delicous florentine. Our friend had a substantial cheese and onion toastie and a florentine and it was her first time at the Cloisters and will return.
I popped in before going to a football match. Not for me the lard burgers from the vans outside the ground. I went for a cup of tea and a ham salad, which was served promptly by the friendly staff. The restaurant itself is in...the grounds of the Catholic Cathedral in the city centre. Recommended!
Tasty homely food, friendly staff who were kind to my 3 year old. Specials were big enough at lunch to put some of our food on a spare plate for the little one who has a colossal appetite!
A haven of tranquillity in the city centre. Lovely home made quiche, salad and new potatoes. There's a specials board which changes daily. All good quality fresh ingredients. Friendly staff deliver excellent service and ensure the cafe is spotless. Highly recommend.
