Cantina - Newcastle

I visited this restaurant with my partner and our 3-year-old for dinner, and we were impressed! Located in the square, this place offers fantastic Mexican food and excellent service. I ordered the nachos, which came in a generous portion and were topped with delicious beef, plenty of sour cream, and guacamole, all beautifully layered with cheese. My wife enjoyed the chimichanga and agreed it was perfect. Our daughter benefited from the free children's meal that included ice cream, as kids eat free on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The staff was friendly, and the service was outstanding. There's also a bar just a short walk away with a wide selection of drinks. I highly recommend this Mexican restaurant!

The portion sizes of the meals were quite generous, and the burrito was fantastic. The staff were friendly and even allowed us to pay in pairs since they don't accept split notes. The prices were reasonable, and the food was served promptly. I would definitely eat here again; it's one of the best Mexican meals I've had in terms of value for money.

Every time I visit, the deliciousness of their Mexican meals never disappoints. Can't owe this experience. Food ordered beef chimichangas and they were great. Freshly drawn beef and salads, crispy roasted tortilla, corn charcoal and rice. Husband had nachos and loved beef. Proper amount of toppings to chip ratio. Order Spag Bol for daughter and they even bought a separate bowl for meat pasta and cheese. Very accommodating. Children eat free Tues Weds and Thurs. Children's ice cone with children's meal and I ripped off the sweet tortilla chips in front of my daughter. Very satisfied with food quality tonight. Service quickly friendly and accommodating. When they say big ass burrito on the menu, they're not joking. (See pic) Theres 3 giant burrito challenges to choose from. Wonderfully cheerful and helpful staff. You CAN take a doggy bag if you ail your challenge. Excellent atmosphere and quite fair prices. Jug of margarita is $30.
