DECO on Darby - Newcastle

The food is consistently good, but not exceptional. The tables could be cleaned more frequently, and I am not a fan of the new self-service water station. Overall, it is decent.

We were drawn in by the attractive facility and design of this restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality and value of the menu. The staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The cafe and bar also did a great job, making it a versatile dining option. We will definitely be returning each time we visit Newcastle. The interior decor has been beautifully restored, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. Overall, a fantastic place to dine.

I don't know how they do it. On a Saturday night, they offer steak for $12, powdered pasta for $15, and Coonawarra cabernet for $8 a glass. Compared to other cafes and restaurants in the area, this place is a true gem. Plus, with a view of Newcastle Harbour on a warm early evening, what more could you ask for?

$5 vodka red bulls! Perfect spot for a few pre drinks with friends. It was quite a young crowd (18-20 year olds) but my friends and I enjoyed the vibe and music. The staff were all lovely too despite having to throw a lot of drunken teenagers out.

Horrible service this morningXmas eveRunning late to work Have never had a problem here, only was coming here while my regular is closed over the xmas periodi ordered two coffees to takeaway before starting work, it had taken longer than usual so i asked would it be much longer to the girl making the coffees, as they had a whole table seated to serve coffee to, my grievance is the barista served a lady lined up in front of me a takeaway coffee in between the seated customers but wouldnt do mine, so thats why i asked, then the male employee came over and slapped cash on the bar and said i am not serving you!the girls are always lovely to me it sucks this experience may reflect poorly on them
