Then for prawn is just okay. I expected it to be really crispy.Chips is tasteless while in generous amount. We couldn't finish it as it doesn't taste good. Lucky we didn't order another serve of chips.Battered fish is the most dissapointing one. It's hard texture, not crispy, no taste, hardly swallow it.Also they sell tartar sauce for $1.50 which is quite expensive for just small amount.Won't come back again. Too expensive for such experience.
Wonderful fresh seafood cooked and served instantly. Very friendly staff but area for eating a bit limited.
I have heard this place used to be excellent. Not anymore!! Rubber week old calamari in the Fishermans basket for $17, dry revolting burnt chunky chips, shrivelled up prawns, not nice! Feel very sick now
What kind of 'fish and chip' establishment closes at 7pm on a late night shopping Thursday ?Two weeks later I turn up at 5pm and it was 'Closed for cleaning'.These people either have no idea how to run a business or are just too lazy. It's not cheap either.
I took my family to Newcastle for the day and being from the country we wanted fresh fish and chips... so googled best places in Newcastle and up popped Jeremiah Jones's, not a happy customer at all, only offered battered Hoki... talk about spending a small fortune 2 adults & 2 children nearly $60 later... terrible service and terribly cooked, don't think this place will last much longer, we waited over 20min and were the only customers there, not to mention our son noticed a wallet left on a seat out side and handed to one of the girls who didn't even say thanks.... very unpleasant experience. Massive thumbs down.
