Celebrated an anniversary with dinner. I ordered the Oven Baked Halloumi, and my partner ordered the Garlic Mushroom Gnocchi. The Oven Baked Halloumi was lovely. The cassoulet was full of flavour; rich and flagrant. Highly recommended.The Garlic Mushroom Gnocchi was very good. Just the right amount of garlic and herbs. A bit heavy on the oil/butter for us though. Still very good. Will return!

Possibly the best breakfast we have had. The eggs Benedict with salmon was amazing and lived up to expectations from the rave reviews. Kids demolished the beautiful fluffy pancakes and husband wAs stumped by the delicious big breakfast. There is a reason this restaurant has been delighting customers for 23 years. Restaurant is a little hidden but definitely worth seeking it out, you won't be disappointed!!

Dined here last Thursday evening. Greeted at door and sat , wine and food menu on tables. Quick service for first round of drinks. Great Variety of quality wines on menu.Food menu has small amount of choice, but there was a house fish special also, but we found what we ate was 5 star. We were told this restaurant is renowned for their GARLIC PRAWNS. OMG beautifully served with filo pasty "flag" surrounded with creamy sauce. Defiantly try this as an entree or main meal if you love prawn dishes. Our party chose grilled mackerel, steak, duck, and salmon, all delicious . Our first time here, will definitely go back again, small quaint restaurant in the evening, apparently there is an upstairs with a deck that seats a lot more folk and is sort after for its view of the Newcastle harbour in daylight hours. Open for breakfast lunch and dinner. Hospitality here is good old fashioned like you used to get, haven't seen such knowledgable staff in food service for a while.........highly recommended

Hadn't been there for years, but remembered having had nice meals there in the past. We were not disappointed! Great location, food and service, and very cosy on a cold winter's night.

Love the food, love the service, love the atmosphere. It can be a little crowded at times. It is a good location especially in the warmer good weather.
