Popolo Artisan Gelateria - Newcastle

Feeling a little left out My 5 and 3 year old nieces knew about this place before me.

This place gets busy and service can be slow. Some unusual flavours to try out, but they don't always work. No room to sit and eat and nowhere within walking distance to sit and eat (by the time you have walked to the park, you'll have eaten your gelato). There is one seat on the street a few doors down that fits 2-3 people.

Great place to vist for an intreesting made-on-the-premises mouth watering and cleansing creamy gelato - especially after an authentic Napoli pizza from across the road. Now, if they only served a good espresso with it.....

We stumbled across this hidden gem by accident and boy were we glad we did. For the same price as your chain ice cream parlours, you are getting artisan gelato made onsite and really interesting flavour combinations. We opted to share a two scoop cup with ricotta Nutella and coconut. Both were lovely but the Nutella one was phenomenal! For $6.80 it was a huge serving and we will definitely be back tomorrow to try two other flavours. This is definitely a must for anyone visiting Newcastle.

This place is definitely the best place for authentic Italian gelato in Newcastle . The flavours are amazing, the staff are friendly and helpful and the prices are also affordable
