Kagen Sake House - Newington

Took the family for a Japanese meal prior to a concert at Acer Arena. Food was good, served in good time and price was fair. Can't beat their Bento Box Meals and fresh Sushi. I will be back.

I decided to try this place with my 2 girls. The service was horrendous. They have an all you can eat sushi and Korean BBQ on offer. We decided to order som sushi. It was okay but we had to keep asking to order after an hour and a half and literally 4 plates later I decided to leave and call it a night. They also tried to over charge me $30! Usually I will always leave a tip wherever I go, I just couldn't! Then, my cousin came for a visit and I decided to give them a second chance. Again the service was horrendous, they need to be schooled on customer service. And because of this I will never return and I will steer everyone and anyone clear of this place!

Place to go for with your hungry work friends.., not to take out your date... could be a bit cleaner...the food was alright and the sevice was friendly... best fried tofu I had in while.

This place has it's menu online, to order online, but it NEVER has it's full menu. Get the same response each time I order something - that's not available, we recommend this...Ended up cancelling my online order most recently after being told the SAME thing again and given the SAME alternative options again. If you don't want to cater for your full menu then just change it to a basic menu and stop all the hassles for everyone else!

We visit for the Bento box at lunch and dinner. Eat in is fast at lunch time which helps, quite popular at lunch so seating can be limited at times. They have a full menu and bbq menu also with all you can eat options but the Bento is best value.Staff are friendly and accommodating for special requests. Good value.
