Clearwater - Newport

I was disappointed by a photographer taking photos of customers' food before it was served. Not only was the food left out on the counter for photos, but the photographer also touched the plates while adjusting his equipment and fixing his attire. I don't see the need for photos to be taken of food that has already been ordered and paid for, instead of preparing them separately outside of regular operating hours. It seemed like a cost-saving measure. When the food finally arrived at our table, it was cold. This was very unprofessional and unsanitary.

Mark Drandred L., (I use your name here as you seem to be the one who places superficial responses to diners ' complaints), Do you ever leave a response other than thank you for your feedback? I 've read probably a hundred comments by you and they 're all the same thank you for dining with us; we will investigate the matter or something like that. What a sad commentary on Clearwater. What 's your investigation? How will you investigate this or any concern? Regardless of reviews and what others may say, your establishment could use some improvement. I ate here tonight. The food was decent, but the server (Kaden), kept trying to rush us out. We drove here from Los Angeles and didn 't think we 'd get rushed out. The place wasn 't even crowded.? Are you now going to say we had many, many reservations after you? Cut me a break. I work in the hospitality industry. So, why the rush out after barely one hour? Is that your policy? Get 'em in and get ' 'em out? What a very sad AND only experience we will ever have in Newport with Clearwater. You need to get your act together. Sad (and 5 weary travelers) from LA. Don 't bother responding Mark Drandred L. because it 's only phony and obligatory on your part. Save your time don 't write back as it 's only phony and insincere. Amazing food and atmosphere! I came here tonight with my wife for our anniversary and our server Kaden was great! He was prompt and really made our experience memorable (you could tell he put a lot of heart and soul into his job). Highly recommend him and the food and will be back the next time we return to Newport.

We went here for our anniversary last night. Our server Matthew was very prompt and pleasant, and we were upstairs with a good view of the sea lions. They gave us a complimentary dessert with a sparkler for our anniversary, and made a point of knowing how many years we were celebrating Only three stars though because the food was disappointing. We got the specials: I had prawns on a mushroom risotto with carrots, my spouse had cod with asparagus. Both were just okay, rather bland, and not what we expected for the great reviews. Maybe an off night for the chef?

Food is good, desserts delicious, decent wine pour/ cost. Service was ok nothing special. Super place to watch the sea lions with a great view of the Bay.
