Jaspers Tavern - Newport

Typical small town vermont dive. I had expected even worse, but was pleasantly impressed when it did not survive the rugged and even came back with some friends I had not seen for years. That was cool.

Very friendly staff and owner. We visited from way out of state and really enjoyed getting to know the local folks. Good people and great memories!

Very friendly people and bartender, with a classic bar atmosphere. Bit of an odd location, being down an alleyway, but definitely worth it.

We went into town from Jays peak, which was about 45 minutes away. We had gotten dinner next door and decided to get a drink next door. We were practically the only people in there. The bartender, Angie was really nice. They had a small draft selection but the beers were only $5 each. They were playing pretty good music. The bar is just cash only and they do have atm inside.

If your looking for a place to drink forget it, they kick you out after ordering 2 shots and 1 beer, pretty pathetic to be honest with you
