The stone fruit (peach and cherry) with stracciatella (very soft creamy insides of burrata) salted pistacchi and a drizzle of balsamic was also fabulous. My wife suffers bad headaches from garlic and we asked to avoid garlic which they did scrupulously. The stonefruit usually comes with a buttermilk, chive and garlic dressing, which they put on the side for us. I tried it and the garlic was beautifully light, but the chives and buttermilk honestly would not have gone well with the fruit. We had cannoli for dessert. It was very nice but not at all traditional. The shell was baked rather than fried and the filling was sweetened whipped cream flavoured with almond, all drizzled with a cocoa sauce. Nice, but nothing like a traditional cannolo filling of riccotta and sugar with candied peel and chocolate chips.. the wai5staff were wonderful, the decor is simple and timeless. The music was kept low enogh to allow easy talking and was pleasantly mellow. We plan to go again to try their pizza!
CHECK YOUR RECEIPT. We were here recently and noticed we were overcharged after leaving the restaurant. It wasn't a big amount, but I did call to ask for an adjustment. After some discussion about who was responsible for the overcharged, the person agreed to refund the disputed amount. I never had the revised bill come through. Additionally, our waitress was not very friendly and the restaurant has the automatic 30%25%20% tip suggestion (though you can do a custom tip , but I don't like the feeling of being forced into a tip amount) and I frankly didn't feel good about that, especially given her frosty attitude. The food was good, I will say that. They just need better customer skills.
Great little spot for pasta and apperitivo in nye beach. The raspberry vanilla frozen Bellini was A
We were in there on a Monday and it was busy. Great service and food. They don’t do reservations but that worked for our party of 7. We had cheese bread, different pastas and pizza’s. Oh and don’t forget the desserts they’re very tasty. I only got a photo of the cheese pizza as everyone started eating so quickly. Highly recommend them for your dinner plans.
It was the vibe that lured us in. The host was friendly and we were seated right away. That was about the best of it. I ordered a fancy, expensive margarita and did not care for whatever tasted stale in my drink (maybe it was the salt). My husband liked his drink, though. Our waitress was somewhat friendly, but uninterested, and our entrees did not taste good to us. Something about the tomato sauce just didn’t sit right on our palates. The place was packed, though, so maybe it was just us.
