I couldn't do the same old downtown Ruby's routine and my wife and I decided to try something else after reading an article about the best restaurants in NKY. Super quiet, quaint atmosphere, it's almost like you're there for a private food tour event yet it's more of a romantic setting. Servers really are dedicated to only a few tables at a time so your service is amazing and personalized. The food was exceptional, shockingly exceptional to the post that my wife and I were sitting there speechless almost. I've been to Italy, I speak Italian, I have several Italian friends and family and I can say without any reservations that the rigatoni I ordered last Saturday (10/7 was without a doubt the best I have ever had and I'm talking home cooked authentic Italian nonne rigatoni from northern, central, and southern Italy. This is nothing against Nicola's, and Pep and Dolores who are also exquisite, but this was by far the best sole Italian dish I've had in Cincinnati and one of the best ever. Just wanted to rave about that particular dish but the entire menu is top class. I recommend doing the prix fixe with your other guests so you try the entire lineup. I don't drink alcohol and the bartender made a wonderful raspberry kind of spritz drink with lime, it was very refreshing and accommodating considering their wine list is impressive. We will absolutely be back, and very much look forward to it. Thank you for a great evening. Again, the two servers that took care of us (so sorry I forgot your name! were so wonderful and pleasant. A presto!
We eat here or across the street at the bakery/pizza place at least 3 times a month. The only thing better than the food, is the folk that work there. It takes us 15 minutes from our home in Clifton to the front door of the restaurant. Parking is always super easy and close. I cannot recommend enough. Vegetarian options: Always a great veggie option in addition to locally raised beef, Pork, land and poultry Parking: Street parking out front. Have never had a problem
Sunday night, an impulse night out. We had lunch here a couple of years ago and wanted to try it for dinner. What a lovely choice! On our arrival we were able to request a table not too close to the music, but not too far away. Cocktails were beautifully prepared, our server, Sally, gave us guidance on the menu, decisions were made. The dinner was delightful. Lovely gougeres as appetizer. And the braised pork entree was remarkable. A creative mix of protein with greens, in season tomatoes, almonds and a wonderful jus, in exactly the right proportions. In the background, at the right volume, were a couple of great musicians playing jazz standards. A great date night.
Very friendly service. For a pretentious pizza, it just wasn't very good. The crust was nearly impossible to chew. The sauce and cheese had very little flavor. I understand that high end pizzas rarely have the substance that i expect from a good basic pizza, but i still want a meal that tastes good and is pleasant to eat. There were also some surprises in the check that were kindly dealt with, but the sort of upcharges that should have been mentioned before the check, not after.
Warning!! Do not eat here. The Bakers table and the Bakers table Bakery are across the street from each other they carry uncovered food across the street passing trees, plants, cars, trucks and other people. Uncovered food going outside across the street MUST be covered. People can get sick Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
