Topside Roof Deck - Newport Beach

Our absolute favorite rooftop bar in the Newport Beach area is Topside.It is the only rooftop bar which houses real lighthouse.It provides stunning views of the harbor along with refreshing drinks and small bites.Perfect for unwinding after long day of work or getting cozy with your partner.Ambience is inviting, always great vibes.Perfect for first stop before a dinner!Reservations are highly recommended and it's part of Lido Hotel so parking is very easy!Vegetarian options: Few veggie options!Kid-friendliness: NoParking: Lido hotel valetWheelchair accessibility: Yes

Would rate this place higher but the prices have gotten so out of control it’s borderline robbery at this point, even for Newport. They seem to be consistently going up too.They’re charging near sports stadium prices $12-$14+ for even a basic bottle of beer. Cocktails usually around $21+… they’re pretty solid but not mind-blowing.$25+ for a small serving of just-ok ceviche; $20 for a handful of French Fries sprayed with some synthetic truffle oil LOLVibe is overall decent with the view and music, but forewarning a lot of the clientele give off “pretentious/bougie-trash” energyOverall it’s honestly probably not worth it anymore. There’s other really nice spots with beach views that aren’t as crazy priced.

This is a cool upscale spot for some cocktails and sunset views near the beach. It is definitely a bit pricey, and surely busy most nights, so grab a reservation. They have an excellent selection of tequilas and really good cocktails. On the roof it can get a bit chilly in the evenings, so be sure to bring a jacket (they have a lot of heaters to try to keep it warm). I definitely recommend securing a spot here for a clear evening and enjoying the lux atmosphere and kind service over a stiff drink and a pastel sky.

This is my new favorite summer spot for rooftop drinks. Located on the 4th floor of the Lido hotel, the rooftop is gorgeous with a fun vibe. Reservations are highly recommended as my group had comfy seats reserved for us when we arrived. Reservations are for 90 minutes, but I didn't feel rushed. Be sure to get your valet parking ticket validated $12 for 3 hours) otherwise there's nearby street parking that can get packed on 32nd street.
