I decided on the beef bulgogi with fried rice and mandu, along with some Korean side dishes like kimchi, bean sprouts, radish, caramelized potatoes, and cucumbers for sharing. Everything was delicious! The beef was thinly sliced and full of flavor, melting in your mouth. The fried rice and mandu were also excellent choices. Appetizers could definitely be skipped here, as the main dishes and side dishes were more than enough to satisfy us all. Everyone at the table enjoyed the meal, except for Sophia who isn't a fan of kimchi. Overall, the food, service, and company were all great. We will definitely be returning to this restaurant in the future. Until next time!
I've heard that some people claim Kyung Sung has the best beef bulgogi around, and after trying it for myself, I have to agree. Unlike other places where the bulgogi lacks flavor and appeal despite being piled high, Kyung Sung's version is delicious and perfectly portioned. The beef is seasoned just right and leaves a lasting impression. The service is also noteworthy, with friendly wait staff who give us space to decide on our order and remember small details like our preferences for water. This gem of a restaurant is definitely worth the drive from Virginia Beach.
They are doing something right to stay in business since 1982 ! The food is always fresh, flavorful hot. The portions are good size. The waitress can help guide you through the authentic Korean food experience. We've been dining there since 1995 you get what you pay for.
I could go on for days recommending Kyung Sung. This is my go to spot for lunch and dinner at least once a month. The food has always been high quality. I recommend their Beef Bulgogi, Fried Mandu, and Gimbap. When ordering to-go the waitress always let me know how long each item will take coming out of the kitchen so you are not on time crunch at lunch. I have always appreciated that when having to grab lunch on the go to and from showings because my office is usually on the road. On evenings when dining inside they have a back and a front area that you can choose from depending on the size of your party. I recommend dining inside for a date night it is cozy inside. Check them out! You won't regret it!
Food was great for me but my husband said his soup was a little bland. The service was great as they are very attentive and helpful. We come her when we're in the area and it's been a while. The place looks great and it looks like the upgraded the bathroom. Loved it!
