Midtown Eats - Newport News

No waiting, even during brunch hours, great coffee, and absolutely fantastic food! We ordered the chicken fried steak and the brisket hash, both of which were incredibly delicious and a lot of food for the price. For lunch, I had the best Philly cheesesteak I've ever tasted. Mckenzie was amazing—she was so friendly and accommodating, really going above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Even if the food hadn't been as exceptional as it was, we might have returned just for the service. Fantastic job, Midtown Eats! I will definitely be back!

I really enjoyed my experience at Midtown. Although it is a diner, they have their own unique twist on daily meals. The stuffed baked potatoes were delicious, and the green toppings were flavorful. I appreciated the variety of sauces available for the meat dishes. The only downside is that smoking is allowed on the bar side, and the smell can be noticeable in the dining area. It's not overwhelming, but if you don’t smoke, it might be a bit bothersome.

We had lunch today and decided to try the grill, and it was absolutely delicious! The ribs were smoky, the brisket was tender, and the pulled pork was perfectly grilled. Everything complemented each other wonderfully! The staff and owner Mark were incredibly friendly, and we loved the atmosphere! (The second picture is from brunch on Saturday, which was also fantastic!)

I order the Fried Seafood Platter. The seafood was perfectly roasted. It's not too heavy, and it's just right. I was there at 7:30 and came in and out without waiting. Would definitely recommend.

Everything was really good. Service was great. Loved the shrimp. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars was because of the tarter sauce. It is store bought and comes in little tiny containers and is not any good. They need to change there tater sauce. Next time I will bring my own.
